- Während in Italien Landschaften und Stilleben gefragt waren, wurde ich auf dieser Reise vor allem mit Portraits beauftragt.
- I travelled through Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan and painted pictures in exchange for room and board.
- While landscapes and still lifes were requested in Italy, I was above all commissioned to make portraits during this trip.
